Teyana Taylor is putting her Spike Tey hat back as she advocates for Black lives in her chilling new video for “Still.”
The visual is produced under her Aunties Production house and explicitly references injustices of police brutality over the last half a century.
From clips of the 1992 Rodney King riots to disturbing flashbacks of George Floyd’s murder earlier this year, Taylor’s latest endeavor is not for the faint of heart.
“Just the thought of you / Makes me weak, in my knees, baby / No matter what you do,” Taylor somberly croons as images of Black victims of police brutality are displayed onscreen.
“Still” is the latest track brought to life from her dazzling project The Album, released on Juneteenth of this year.
Taylor took home a BET Award for Director of the Year for her work behind the camera back in June.
