Vivian Green has one more new song left in the tank before her new album Love Absolute arrives this Friday (Nov. 13). This time around, the R&B veteran switches up the tempo with a familiar sample and adds a rap legend to the credits.
On “Light Up,” Green reaffirms to her man that she hasn’t become complacent in their romance and still gets a resurgence of emotions whenever they connect. It also pays homage to a classic by prominent ‘80s diva Evelyn “Champagne” King.
The spirited new track is the third release in three weeks from Green. She previously shared the mature love song “Where You Are” and the album’s lead single “You Send Me.”
Love Absolute, the follow-up to 2017’s VGVI, will also include guest appearances from Mike Phillips and her son Jordan Green.
