Ashanti is back. During Thursday night’s long-awaited Verzuz battle between her and Keyshia Cole, the Grammy-winning diva released a new single titled “235 (2:35 I Want You)”
On the string-laden piano tune, Ashanti is tossing and turning in the wee hours, yearning for the love and affection of her man.
“235 (2:35 I Want You)” follows Ashanti’s 2019 single “Pretty Little Thing,” featuring Afro B. She accompanied the tropical track with a sexy music video. Last year, she appeared on Da Baby’s new song “Nasty,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. It sampled her 2002 hit “Baby.”
Ashanti’s last album Braveheart came out in 2014. It was released independently under her label imprint Written Entertainment.
