India Shawn returns with honey-dripped vibes on her new song “Too Sweet” featuring Unknown Mortal Orchestra.
Produced by D’Mile (Lucky Daye, Victoria Monét), Shawn knows the energy she gives and how enticing it can be.
She sings on the chorus, “You ain’t met a woman like me / Who love too sweet, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh / Got a taste and now you can’t speak / I know that you’re weak, I see / I’m too sweet that’s what you love ’bout me (Too sweet, too sweet)/ I’m too sweet that’s why you can’t reply (Too sweet, too sweet) / I’m too sweet that’s what you love ’bout me (Too sweet, too sweet) / I know that you’re weak, I see.”
“Not everybody is everybody’s flavor. Sometimes you’re just too sweet,” Shawn told Rated R&B.
She blessed fans with a visual for the new song as well, seen above. With the team madebyJAMES in charge of directing, the video features Shawn in full swing of a photoshoot and unknowingly captures the attention of the photographer on the job.
Last April, Shawn shared with Rated R&B news of the collaboration. As one of her favorite bands, it’s definitely a dream come true for Shawn to work with the alternative group.
