How refreshing is it to get new music from Jordin Sparks ahead of New Music Friday? The American Idol alum has shared a new song titled “You Still Think of Me” that will be embedded in your mind for days to come.
This piano-laden song’s tormenting lyrics solely focus on an ex that has countlessly disrespected Sparks and their relationship. He thinks his unjust actions are going go unpunished, but he receives a sentence of lifelong regret for believing that Sparks’ love was irreplaceable.
“You Still Think of Me” is the first solo track from Sparks since last year’s “Unknown.” At this time, it’s not certain if this new song is the beginning of a new era for Sparks, but we sure hope so.
Also released last year was “Pink,” an all-female collaboration between Sparks, Dolly Parton, Monica, Rita Wilson, and Sara Evans. Sparks also appeared on New Kids on the Block’s new song “House Party” alongside the legendary group Boyz II Men, Big Freedia, and Naughty by Nature.
