On March 12 at 8 p.m. EST, Luke James will present to feel love/d, his Grammy-nominated sophomore album, in an orchestral fashion. The self-proclaimed wolf will rearrange the LP’s songs with a symphonic presentation overseen by Nu Deco Ensemble.
The unique concert is James’ way of celebrating his 2021 Best R&B Album nomination, as well as reimagining the album’s recordings in a way that “only a supreme symphony can.”
Nu Deco Ensemble co-founder and conductor Jacomo Bairos shared his excitement about partnering with James in a press release. “We are blessed to share this moment together, bringing more beautiful and meaningful music experiences to such a wide audience,” he said.
PATRÓN Tequila and BET have joined together to support James’ symphonic strides in bringing this incredible show to life. He also will receive backing from The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County, where the show will be filmed.
The show is designed as a benefit concert, aiding Backing the B.A.R., a custom initiation between Bacardi and NAACP to provide financial awards to Black-owned businesses in the alcohol beverage industry, and supplying them with resources and education to be successful in the future. All the proceeds from the show will be donated to the initiative.
James’ free orchestra concert will air on BET’s official website, along with their YouTube channel and Facebook page.
In December, James’ to feel love/d was declared one of the best R&B albums by Rated R&B.
