Reel People — composed of core members Oliver Lazarus, Mike Patto, and Antonis Economides — are ready to make some real noise this year.
The solar soul collective has revealed plans to follow-up last year’s Dancing On The Moon with another project this spring titled Hearts Collide. It is due in April and will contain three-tracks; one of the songs, “Deja Vu,” features Raheem DeVaughn.
On the galactic track, the self-proclaimed Love King is smitten by a familiar love that he’s known about long before it became clear to him.
“Before I taste your sweet kiss / My palette knew your milk and honey,” he sings in the second verse.
“Deja Vu” is packaged with an animated visual, directed and created by Jeff Conway. Watch it above.
In addition to DeVaughn, Reel People tapped songstress Paula for the two other tracks on their coming Hearts Collide EP. The musical bunch also are loading up more releases for this year. Stay tuned for more.
Last November, DeVaughn put out his eighth studio album, What A Time To Be In Love.
Recorded with The Colleagues, the album, featuring the singles “Mr. Midnight” and “Marvin Used to Say,” was named one of 30 best R&B albums of 2020 by Rated R&B.
