Silk Sonic isn’t rushing to drop a new song just yet. With their breakout single “Leave The Door Open” holding firm in high places on various charts, the duo treated fans and viewers to another live rendition at the 2021 BET Awards.
At Sunday’s ceremony, Silk Sonic won Best Group, while Mars and Florent Déchard took home Video Director of the Year for their behind-the-lens work for the “Leave The Door Open” visual.
The Motown-inspired track, which tallied two non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, is the lead offering from their upcoming project, An Evening with Silk Sonic, which is expected to arrive sometime later this year.
