It’s “Sundress” season, and Bathe, the budding duo of Corey Smith-West and Devin Hobdy, have a heated anthem dedicated to them.
Bathe’s producer Corey applies their self-termed sound “surf R&B” for the wavy ambiance, while vocalist Devin pictures his lady greeting him after a time apart in their flowy, loose-fit dress. It’s just the right fit to turn him on and get them even closer.
When asked about the meaning of the song, Corey explained, “‘Sundress’ is about feeling intimately close with someone who’s far away. Whether you’re separated by distance, time, or even reality itself.”
To celebrate the release of the song, Bathe released its accompanying visual. The video features Corey and Devin headed to the beach with a group of friends. You’ll have to watch the full video to see the plot twist at the end.
“Sundress” is Bathe’s first release of the year. In 2020, the pair released the songs “22,” “Dealer,” and “Better Off.”
In 2019, Bathe released their debut EP, I’ll Miss You.
