LGBTQ+ advocate and multi-hyphenate Frankie Grande comes “Undone” in the video for Macy Gray and The California Jet Club’s latest focus track.
Filmed in a sultry bedroom filled with sunlight and candles, director Guido Gallo Fabris follows Grande, fully glammed in a preferred exterior, liberating himself without worry. As the song grows and becomes more powerful, Grande reveals more of himself until he is entirely free from all cover-ups.
“Undone” comes just months after the collective’s debut single “Thinking of You.” Both songs are expected to appear on their forthcoming debut album.
Speaking exclusively with Rated R&B on 2018’s Ruby follow-up, Gray stated, “This is the first album I have made with these musicians. With them, it is fresh, it is new, and it is exciting. We collaborate, and there are no limits, no rules. I do not have to top myself or be Macy Gray. I can be a whole new band. It is very cool.”
