Summer Walker has a rousing new song that’s a collaboration with Sam Smith. It’s titled “You Will Be Found” and it appears on the official Dear Evan Hansen soundtrack, out September 24, via Universal Studios/Interscope Records.
Smith thoughtfully offers hope for those lost and unnoticed across a guitar-driven track, produced by Jimmy Napes (Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys). Walker backs them with gentle vocals.
“Out of the shadows / The morning is breaking / And all is new, and all is new / It’s filling up the empty / And suddenly I see that all is new, all is new,” Walker sings with support from a spirited choir.
SZA is featured on the soundtrack, having released “The Anonymous Ones” earlier this month. Tori Kelly, another R&B-oriented artist, also makes an appearance on the compilation dedicated to the musical drama directed by Stephen Chbosky.
This year, Walker collaborated with LVRN affiliate Shelley FKA DRAM for “All Pride Aside,” lifted from his newest self-titled album. She also contributed to Alycia Bella’s Muse project ahead of releasing a black-and-white video for “Body.”
She is currently working on a follow-up to 2019’s Over It.
