Adam Ness has enlisted Durand Bernarr for his new song “Houzkatz,” produced by Brian Sanborn.
On this slow, seductive number, melted in a large pan of rich, organic neo-soul flavors, Ness exerts caressing tones about getting to know his romantic buddy better. However, he realizes this can happen only if they remain indoors, vibing in close quarters while in suggestive positions.
Bernarr quilts listeners in his warm, low-pitched melodies as well as those that soar when his footprints become available on the second verse. His idea of time alone at home with his mate involves them curling up and him singing soothing adult nursery rhymes.
“Houzkatz” is the lead single from Ness’ forthcoming project, Sagittarius, Vol. 2, out November 5. The Detroit native issued volume one to his Sagittarius EP series in March 2019. It included the single “Back Out” featuring Mia Gladstone and Angele Anise. The project also featured Jamila Woods.
Bernarr recently appeared on Saint Floyd’s latest track “Home,” as well as Jenn-Jenn’s new track “Bad Idea.” His last project, Dur&, was among Rated R&B’s best R&B albums of 2020.
