The Weeknd has decided to once again postpone his world tour in support of 2020’s After Hours.
The multi-date run will now take place in summer 2022, instead of launching in January 2022, moving from arenas to stadiums. His goal is to “do something bigger and special” for fans.
The global superstar’s tour has also undergone a name change. It is now called After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour, previously known as The After Hours Tour. Additional dates will be announced soon, with plans to refund current ticket holders and make them a priority when stadium tickets go on sale.
Earlier this month, The Weeknd became a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations (U.N.) World Food Programme to end world hunger. Prior to that, he teased the release of his next album, The Dawn Is Coming, with the new song “Take My Breath.”
Around the same time, he contributed vocals to Kanye West’s song “Hurricane” from his Donda album.
