Squinting hard at the title of Jvck James‘ new single, “Love In The Club,” may drum up nostalgia for those picturing a remake of Usher’s 2008 hit single of the same name. It’s not a noble cover but a smooth and infectious vibe inspired by ’90s hip-hop/R&B and dance.
“Love In The Club,” perfect for any house party or club mix, retro or current, was co-produced by GA. He floats over a woozy production with much finesse, singing about letting the chips fall where they may after bumping into an unexpected fling during nightlife.
“Since the clubs are opening back up again I wanted to give you all somethin’ to mooooove to. Get yo 2 step on! 90s future to the world,” wrote James on Instagram about what inspired “Love In The Club.”
The new track follows James’ remake of Aaliyah’s “Come Over,” released in August.
