In collaboration with Soulection Records, Mack Keane and ESTA, a label affiliate and producer, have come together to “Open Up” on a new groove.
Deep in the pockets of dreamy, plaintive vocals and a moody production, Keane cries foul to his wrongdoings inflicted on his lover. However, he wants his desired interest to hold out in hopes of being groomed out of his insensitive ways of showing affection.
In a joint statement, the duo said, “‘Open Up’ is about longing for that one person to change with you. That person who, while you want to spread your wings, grow, and open yourself up to uncertainty, is stuck in their ways, stagnant yet intoxicating, in love with “the old [you],” and content with complacency.”
The two are planning for more collaborations soon.
Earlier this year, Keane released the song “Aaliyah.” His last project Dry Creek Rd was released in 2020.
