Carey serves as executive producer of her new special, along with Tim Case, Charleen Manca and Matthew Turke of Supply & Demand.
Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues will follow last year’s Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special, which premiered on Apple TV+.
In December 2019, Carey’s modern day classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” lifted from her 1994 LP Merry Christmas, reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time, becoming the first holiday song to claim this spot since “The Chipmunk Song” in 1958-1959. It reentered the top spot in December 2020, and January 2021.
