Muni Long sings about the difficulty of loving her man in her latest song, “Ain’t Easy.”
Over the guitar-laden beat, the singer-songwriter explicitly details how certain parts of her relationship have been strenuous by using the word love as an acronym.
“Three years and we have one fight, it’s over / You packed your things we broke up / And even though I asked you to go / I keep coming home to an empty house like f*ck,” she sings in the second verse.
Packaged with the new track is a music video, which can be viewed below.
“Ain’t Easy” is tied to Long’s upcoming EP Public Displays of Affection, set for release on Nov. 19. The project consists of eight songs, including her previously released Ann Marie-assisted “No R&B” and a live version of her “Just Beginning,” from this year’s summer EP Nobody Knows. It featured contributions from Yung Bleu and Sukihana.
Her debut EP as Muni Long, Black Like This, was released in 2020.
Long recently appeared on Elijah Blake’s new album, The Neon Eon, on the song “Dark Skin” along with D Smoke and Durand Bernarr.
