Lady Wray takes us to church on her latest track, “Thank You,” produced by Leon Michels.
Wray sings this piano-drenched testimonial as if she’s in front of a congregation on an early Sunday morning. Considering who’s listening to this personal song, one could apply the lyrics to a stayed-down lover or the man above who’s remained consistent and faithful through it all.
“My goal is always to help and to heal people with singing. Part of that is to try and bring back real music, real singing, so people can feel something again,” explained Wray in a statement about the new track.

“Thank You” is the fifth track to be released from Wray’s forthcoming album Piece of Me, which arrives on Jan. 28, 2022, via Big Crown Records. She previously premiered the video for the October track “Under the Sun” on Rated R&B.
Wray previously shared the songs “Games People Play” and the title track.
