Sunni Colón has been relatively quiet this year, but he breaks his silence with a new self-produced track called “Flowerbug (Interlude).”
Speaking on the inspiration behind the new track, Colón tells Rated R&B, “‘Flowerbug’ is a short sweet symphony conveying the intimacies of my world. It’s connecting to the source with this one, beyond the body. The way we are perfectly imperfect, that’s the beauty.”
He adds, “The stripped down rawness of the song displays a side of my music I believe people will enjoy.”
“Flowerbug (Interlude)” doesn’t stop with just the audio. It received video treatment as well, with Colón as the director. He is on set at a small backyard barn, looking after farm animals with much care.
Earlier this year, Colón debuted the soothing “Provide,” which too was rolled out with a music video. It was said that it was a glimpse of what fans could expect from his upcoming EP.
