The Grammy Awards will return to Los Angeles, California, in 2023. The Recording Academy has set the 65th Grammy Awards for Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, at the Crypto.com Arena. The award show will air live on CBS and stream live and be on demand on Paramount+.

Nominations for the 2023 Grammys will be announced on Tuesday, Nov. 15. To be considered for one of 91 categories, including Album of the Year, Best R&B Performance and most recently added Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical, recordings have to be released between Oct. 1, 2021, and Sept. 30, 2022.

More details about the forthcoming Grammy Awards and its nominations event are expected to be revealed throughout the next few months.

The previous ceremony was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Jon Batiste, Silk Sonic and Jazmine Sullivan were some of the biggest winners at the 2022 Grammy Awards.

As mentioned above, the Recording Academy rolled out the Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical trophy in June, along with four others. The award will honor the “most prolific non-performing and non-producing songwriters for their body of new work released during an eligibility year.”

“We’re so excited to honor these diverse communities of music creators through the newly established awards and amendments, and to continue cultivating an environment that inspires change, progress and collaboration,” said Harvey Mason Jr., Recording Academy CEO/President.

Additionally, the new class of elected officials serving on the Recording Academy’s Board of Trustees committee were announced. John Legend and PJ Morton were re-elected, while Rico Love (vice-chair) and Om’Mas Keith (secretary/treasurer) retained their titles.
