Rising singer Liza has returned with “A Little Bit More,” her first taste of new music this year. On the vulnerable number, Liza navigates the aftermath of an ended relationship that holds a soft place in her heart.
Although she and this particular person are not meant to be, she still wants the memories to remain preserved in their heart rather than go sour. At times, it sounds like Liza wishes they’d make a move to try and win her back.
Liza lushly sings, “You won’t lose me ’cause / ‘Cause I can’t take back what I’ve given you / Learning how to be comfortable alone / But sometimes I wish we tried more.”
“A Little Bit More” follows Liza’s 2021 DONE IS DONE EP. Of the project, she told Rated R&B, “To me, DONE IS DONE is about accepting the end of something even without closure and learning how to let go and move on from a given situation. It’s allowing yourself to see the end and allowing yourself to grow and learn from a situation/relationship.”
DONE IS DONE comprised six tracks, three of which received official videos, including “Lansdowne” and the title track. She recorded an acoustic version of the penultimate tune, releasing it in video form back in May.
