Emerging singer/actress Coco Jones has shared a new song, “ICU.”
It’s the second single from her debut EP, What I Didn’t Tell You, which releases Nov. 4 via High Standardz/Def Jam Recordings.
On “ICU,” Jones tells herself she doesn’t need a specific mate but finds it unbearable to live without them. The piano-laden track unquestionably showcases the power of her quality vocal range.
About the new track, Jones says it’s “about the push and pull of being in a relationship where the circumstances have changed. Growing in our career and personal goals, but growing apart at the same time.”

In addition to “ICU,” Jones’ impending EP, What I Didn’t Tell You, will include lead single “Caliber,” which Eric Hudson and Bongo ByTheWay co-produced.
The song was released in March and later given an official video that Teyana Taylor directed.
Speaking on the new single and her upcoming era, Jones said, “With the release of ‘Caliber,’ I finally feel like I’m able to articulate the core of who I am. My music is a love letter to my journey, and who I’ve become. With the team behind me, there’s nowhere to go but up.”
In June, as part of Amazon Music’s Black Music Month campaign, she shared the new original song “Love Is War.”
“I hope my fans see growth in me, they’ve seen me since I was a kid. I hope they see my journey and think to themselves, ‘wow, that took Coco a long time, maybe my journey taking a long time is okay too,’” said Jones at the time of its release.
Before Jones unveils her debut effort, she joins Babyface for “Simple,” taken from his star-studded new album Girls Night Out, available now.
