Kali Uchis is back. The Grammy winner unveils a new single, “I Wish you Roses,” co-produced by Josh Crocker and Dylan Wiggins.
On the mesmerizingly seductive groove, Uchis croons about how she is a blessing in someone’s life and someone to miss when she is gone.
“While I’m here, I’m someone to honor / When I’m gone, I’m someone to mourn / But if you and my heart / Should someday drift apart / I’ll make sure to give you these blessings / Because they’re all I’ve got,” she sings.
Uchis’ new track is accompanied by a stunning video directed by Choi Gi-Seok.
In it, Uchis, wearing multiple floral designs, is seen looking breathtaking in various vivid and electrifying scenes.
“I Wish you Roses” is the lead single from Uchis’ forthcoming album Red Moon In Venus, which arrives March 3 via Geffen Records.
“Love is the message. Red Moon In Venus is a timeless, burning expression of desire, heartbreak, faith, and honesty, reflecting the divine femininity of the moon and Venus,” Uchis said of the album.
“The moon and Venus work together to make key aspects of love and domestic life work well. This body of work represents all levels of love—releasing people with love, drawing love into your life and self-love. It’s believed by many astrologers that the blood moon can send your emotions into a spin, and that’s what I felt represented this body of work best.”
Red Moon In Venus will include features from Summer Walker, Omar Apollo and Don Toliver. The album will contain 15 tracks.
