Vedo has announced The Mood Swings Tour, his first headlining tour. It will support his sixth album, Mood Swings, which was released in January.
Vedo will kick off the 14-city tour on May 4 at The Shelter in Detroit, Michigan. From there, the fast-rising singer/songwriter will play in Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Atlanta and Houston.
The Mood Swings Tour concludes May 23 at Bimbo’s 365 Club in San Francisco, California.
Tickets for the upcoming tour are now available.
Early this year, Vedo released Mood Swings as the follow-up to 2021’s 1320. The album also followed While You Wait, a joint album he recorded with producer OG Parker.
Back to Mood Swings. The 13-track album included the lead single, “Forever,” produced by Needlz. It featured vocal appearances by Chris Brown and Tink.
Of the album, Vedo said, “This is my first album where I actually had a team of writers come in and assist me with this project and we all got the chance to really learn from each other. But the music speaks for itself, and we just want you to feel…whatever the emotion or mood is.”
The Chris Brown-assisted “Do You Mind” is the album’s current focus track. It’s among Vedo’s trending songs on Spotify, surpassing the seven million streams mark at the time of publication.
In its third week on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, “Do You Mind” has reached No. 29.
More on working with Brown. Vedo recently scored an RIAA award for his co-writing placement on “Freaky Friday,” which Lil Dicky leads. It’s now 5x multi-platinum for exceeding U.S. sales of five million equivalent units.
Moreover, Vedo co-wrote “WE (Warm Embrace)” on Brown’s tenth album, Breezy, one of Rated R&B’s 30 Best R&B Albums of 2022.
Vedo was featured on another album that made that coveted list: R&B Money by Tank. The song is titled “Morning.”
