Alicia Keys will be playing on a lot more stages this year. The award-winning singer/songwriter has unveiled the dates for her headlining Keys to the Summer Tour.
The North American leg kicks off June 28 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. From there, Keys will perform in major cities, including Tampa, Charlotte, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., New York, Toronto, Chicago and Dallas. Keys will conclude the North American leg on Aug. 2 in Los Angeles, California.
For the first time ever, the tour will feature Keys in a 360-degree, “in the round production setup, which “will allow fans to experience her live performance in an entirely new and exhilarating way.”
“The KEYS TO THE SUMMER TOUR is going to be completely unforgettable and unmissable! I describe it as a celebration of freedom and self-liberation,” says Keys. “It’s going to be colorful, magical and will light up your body, soul and all of your senses! This is my first time creating a 360 experience and we’ve made sure it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen! I’m so excited to see y’all this summer!”
Presale tickets are available now through Thursday, April 20. Spotify, Live Nation, Ticketmaster and venue presales begin Thursday, April 20, at 10 a.m. local time. General on-sale begins Friday, April 21, at 9 a.m. local time.
Keys’ tour announcement comes just before she launches the Latin America leg of her Alicia + Keys World Tour. It begins May 3 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, and will conclude May 19 in Guadalajara, Mexico.
“Latin America Fam!! This is finally happening,” Keys wrote in an Instagram caption. “I’ve been dreaming about this and you’ve been asking about this!! We had to make it happen!!!”
Keys launched the North American leg and U.K./European leg in 2022.
Keys’ tours have been in support of her latest albums ALICIA (2020) and KEYS (2021). The former album debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart with 62,000 equivalent units in the first week.
In August 2022, she released KEYS II, an expanded edition of her double album, KEYS. Both versions of the album include her current hit “Come For Me,” featuring Khalid and Lucky Daye, which entered the top 10 at R&B radio this week.
KEYS consists of an Originals side with compositions that lean into Keys’ signature sound and an Unlocked side with remixed versions of the tracks.
“It speaks so much to just like there being no limits, which is what KEYS is all about,” Keys told Rated R&B about the Unlocked side. “It was all about imagining and dreaming in a way that just opened up the possibilities.”
Keys also shared the inspiration behind her latest album. “It is an invitation for all of us to show up to ourselves and not hold back any part of ourselves,” she explained. “I think a lot of us oftentimes feel like we have to dim it down and small it down. No, I refuse it anymore. I invite us all to refuse it because there’s a power and a special energy that we all have.”
