Grammy-nominated singer Summer Walker has announced Summer Walker: The Clear Series – One Night Only.
The intimate show, set for June 1 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, will support Walker’s two projects CLEAR and CLEAR 2: SOFT LIFE EP. The latter EP, released May 19, is the follow-up to her 2019 critically-acclaimed project.
Walker will be joined by a live orchestra as she revisits some of her hits and fan-favorite tracks, in addition to her two CLEAR projects.
Walker’s presale begins today (May 23) at noon ET through Friday, May 26, at 9 a.m. ET. Live Nation’s presale will run from Thursday, May 25, at 10 a.m. ET through Friday, May 26, at 9 a.m. ET.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m.
Circling back to CLEAR 2, the nine-track project includes features from J. Cole (“To Summer, From Cole”) and Childish Gambino (“New Type”). The closing track, “Agayu’s Revelation,” was produced by Solange, Steve Lacy and John Kirby.
“I wouldn’t call it a continuation of CLEAR, like the first one ’cause the first one was kinda sad… and I’m in a different space, so this one is more like, happy. This [is] just a continuation in the sense of the music ’cause it’s all live,” Walker explained.
Walker’s CLEAR EP was released in 2019, ahead of her debut album, Over It. The project featured four stripped-down tracks, including “Riot,” “Grave,” “Wasted” and “Settling.”
While Walker pushes her current CLEAR 2 project, the singer is also embracing her latest hit “Karma.” Released in 2018, as part of her Last Day of Summer project, the song reached No. 1 on urban radio this week. It’s Walker’s first chart-topper on this radio format.
