Ty Dolla $ign has announced headlining More Motion Less Emotion Tour.
The 30-city North American leg launches Sept. 15 in San Diego, California. From there, Ty Dolla $ign will play in Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Miami, Atlanta, Montreal and Chicago, before wrapping up in San Fransisco, California, on Oct. 27.
He will be joined by his EZMNY Records signee Leon Thomas and rapper Symba. The two artists won’t be present at Ty Dolla $ign’s Sacramento and San Francisco tour stops.
Ty’s upcoming tour is titled after his latest single “Motion,” produced by Will Larsen and Stryv, which was released in early June.
“This one will just make you move automatic right when it come on. Really since Free TC, I had a dance song on there, my first album, so I’ve always been into that bag. Right now, this just was one of the hottest ones that was on my hard drive,” Ty Dolla $ign told Zane Lowe of Apple Music. “I was like, ‘It’s time for this one, summertime.’ Different tempos, but doing my kind of music, just having fun.”
“Motion” is the lead single from Ty’s upcoming EP that’s due this summer.
Thomas will be supporting his highly awaited debut album, Electric Dusk, which currently doesn’t have a release date.
“This is a true full embodiment of the inside of my brain,” Thomas told Rated R&B about Electric Dusk in a 2022 interview. “When you listen to it, you’re going to hear all the different influences that I’ve had from generation to generation and see exactly where my head is at when it comes to R&B and what I like to talk about and how I’d like to say it. It was important for me to do something that was just authentically myself.
In April, he released “Crash & Burn” as the follow-up to his 2022 singles “Breaking Point,” “Love Jones” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and “X Rated.”
Circling back to the tour, ticket presale begins Wednesday, June 21, at 10 a.m. local time at dollasignworld.com. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, June 23, at 10 a.m. local time.
