Ronald Isley is embarking on a new business venture. The legendary singer and frontman of The Isley Brothers has launched a new spirits brand aptly named Ronald Isley Liquid Gold.
At this time, there are two products under the newly-formed company: Liquid Gold Vodka and XO Contagious Brandy.
The craft vodka is distilled five times and filtered five times from corn in small batches.
The beverage is described as “a clean and warm silky smooth” vodka. It costs $35.99 for a regular 750 mL bottle and $80 for an autographed bottle (same size).
The XO Contagious Brandy is described as “a velvety smooth brandy finished in French Oak” that has “a hint of vanilla, sweet fruit and red sherry.”
The brandy costs $87 for a 750 mL bottle and $190 for an autographed bottle (same size).
According to Liquid Gold’s website, there are only 100 signed bottles available for both the vodka and the brandy.
In September 2022, The Isley Brothers released their album, Make Me Say It Again, Girl. It was named after Beyoncé-assisted duet, which is a reimagined version of their 1975 classic.
“Make Me Say It Again, Girl” with Beyoncé reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart during the week of Oct. 1, 2022.
It marked the legendary group’s first No. 1 hit since 2001’s “Contagious,” which remained in the top position for two weeks.
Circling back to the album, it included guest appearances from Earth, Wind & Fire, El DeBarge, Trey Songz, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Quavo and Takeoff.
The Isley Brothers recently confirmed their latest single from the album is “Last Time.”
On the silky track, Ronald reminisces about a steamy moment in the bedroom with his lover and how he can’t get it off his mind until it happens again.
“‘Cause I ain’t tryin’ to waste none of your time / I’m just tryna put somethin’ on your mind / I just wanna add a little sugar to your spice / I like it when you’re naughty, not nice / Got me thinkin’ about the last time / You and I made love / Baby, I can’t get enough,” Ronald sings over a lush production.
