Marzz is back. The rising singer has released their new single “In The Morning” via Keep Cool/RCA Records.
Malik Ninety Five helms the glistening guitar-laden track as Marzz expresses their desire to speed up a love venture that’s moving too slowly.
Marzz sings, “I don’t want no more excuses / I play no games / I’m so damn tired of feeling useless / So what you think ya doing / I don’t plan on staying for too long / I want more than a little movement / Can we make love until the morning.”
“This song represents a feeling of waiting until the morning, getting excited of the unknown,” shares Marzz. “It’s the wishful understanding of everything within a relationship. Sometimes we need understanding about falling in love when we’re not sure.”
“In The Morning” is Marzz’s first taste of new music since 2022’s Love Letterz (Deluxe). The new version of their 2021 debut EP, Love Letterz, included seven bonus tracks.
In an interview with Rated R&B, Marzz shared the difference between the original and extended versions. “Love Letterz is more like other’s perspectives. Love Letterz (Deluxe) is more about how I feel about my personal experiences.,” explained Marzz.
Marzz continued, “It’s me digging in my mind and dissecting what I feel. Right now, I’m focusing on determining what boundaries I want set.”
In June 2021, Marzz told Rated R&B what they hope fans took away from Love Letterz. “It’s sad that not a lot of people can get out of their depression. I’m proud to be one of the ones that got out, but I also feel bad for the ones still there. I want them to know that I’m here with open arms, no strings attached, no nothing. It’s honestly just pure love.”
Marzz went on tour with H.E.R. and also headlined their own tour named after their album Love Letterz (Deluxe).
