Robin Thicke will no longer join Ne-Yo on his Champagne and Roses Tour, which kicks off next month. Pleasure P will be stepping in as a special guest.
Thicke announced Tuesday morning (Aug. 22) that he will not be able to appear on the tour due to another scheduling logistics.
“Due to scheduling conflicts with the taping of Masked Singer moving up, I am no longer able to join Ne-Yo and Mario on the Champagne & Roses Tour this Fall. I was really looking forward to it. Wishing the guys good luck on the tour,” Thicke said in a statement.
Thicke is a panelist on The Masked Singer, a celebrity singing competition. Last week, it was announced that the show’s 10th season will premiere on Fox with a special episode on Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
Hosted by Nick Cannon, The Masked Singer is set to have its official season premiere on Sept. 27.
Circling back to Ne-Yo’s Champagne and Roses Tour, the North American trek was announced in June. The Live Nation-powered tour had Thicke and Mario confirmed as supporting acts. Mario is still a part of the tour.
As mentioned above, Pleasure P is now joining the tour as a special guest.
Recently, Pleasure P performed spot dates alongside his RSVP bandmates, which consists of Ray J, Sammie and Bobby V. The R&B supergroup issued their debut single, “Money Everywhere,” last year.
In 2021, Pleasure P dropped released his album Business Before Pleasure.
Earlier this month, he hinted on social media that he has new tunes coming. “New music on the way,” he posted on Twitter along with a video of him performing his solo debut single, “Did You Wrong.”

The Champagne and Roses Tour begins Sept. 9 in Detroit, Michigan, at Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill.
The outing will hit other major cities nationwide before concluding Oct. 4 in Mountain View, California, at Shoreline Amphitheatre.
Earlier this year, Thicke commemorated the 20th anniversary of his debut album, A Beautiful World, by releasing an expanded edition. Prior to that, he teased his untitled ninth studio album.
Thicke’s next album could include “Brown Liquor,” a song he recorded in collaboration with rapper Yo Gotti. He premiered the official video for the intoxicating tune this spring.
Thicke last released an album in 2021. On Earth, and in Heaven spawned the hit single “Look Easy.” The track spent two weeks at No. 1 on this chart, where he has claimed six chart-toppers.
“I think it’s for lovers, people falling in love, people looking for love and people that need to fall in love again,” Thicke previously told Rated R&B about On Earth, and in Heaven.
