On April 15, 2003, a burgeoning Robin Thicke, then known as simply Thicke, released his debut album, A Beautiful World.
Now, after going from a songwriter/producer-turned-artist to a full-blown global superstar, Thicke celebrates the album’s 20th anniversary with a special deluxe edition.
A Beautiful World (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) includes all 14 tracks from the original album, as well as two new tracks, including the Jadakiss-guested “When I Get You Alone (Remix)” and “High School Man.”
The original version of “When I Get You Alone” was released as the lead single from A Beautiful World in 2002. Thicke co-produced the track with Pro-Jay. It samples Walter Murphy’s 1977 classic “A Fifth of Beethoven.”

Thicke also shared “Bitter Sweet,” another unreleased song from his A Beautiful World era. It’s not attached to the special deluxe version.
A Beautiful World debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart in May 2003. It also entered the Billboard 200 at No. 152. It spent one week on the main albums chart.

Earlier this month, Thicke shared a music video for his current single “Brown Liquor” featuring Yo Gotti. The intoxicating collaboration is slated to appear on Thicke’s forthcoming untitled ninth album, which he teased in January.
Thicke’s next album will mark his first full-length album since his 2021 album, On Earth, and in Heaven. The LP featured the hit single “Look Easy,” which topped Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart for two weeks.
On Earth, and in Heaven was named one of Rated R&B’s 30 Best R&B Albums of 2021.

More recently, Thicke was part of the performance lineup at the 2023 Black Music Honors, which was taped May 19 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The eighth annual celebration, which salutes the likes of SWV and Jeffrey Osborne, will air Saturday, June 3, with national broadcast syndication from June 10 through July 2. It will also air on Bounce TV on June 19.
Before the Black Music Honors debuts, Thicke heads to Concord, California, on May 28 to perform at the Stone Soul Concert. Kem, Fantasia, Stokley, Vivian Green and more are also set to perform.
