Rising soul singer and songwriter Cleo Sol has returned with her new album, Heaven.
The nine-track set, produced by her frequent collaborator Inflo, is as divine as its title suggests. Like Sol’s previous work, Heaven is filled with songs that nourish the soul.
“My Album Heaven is out now, thank you guys for your patience and support, I pour my heart and soul into the music and it is very sacred to me, we don’t play with music, it is a gift that I am grateful to God for,” Sol wrote in an Instagram post.
“Thank u Flo for loving me through these creative processes, pushing me even when I’m resistant, change and growth is necessary,” she added.
Heaven is the follow-up to Sol’s 2021 album, Mother. The comforting body of work was inspired by Sol’s entrance into motherhood.

“I became a mother this year, and it’s been the most transformative, uplifting, heart melting, strength giving experience thus far that led me to write this album,” Sol wrote in a since-deleted 2021 Instagram post. “God’s got jokes and was like, ‘Now you guys create and have fun,’ so we did. Mother was born, and truly it was a beautiful, growing experience.”
Mother was among Rated R&B’s 30 Best R&B Albums of 2021 list and Sol was highlighted in Rated R&B’s 11 R&B Artists to Watch list.
The previous year, Sol’s debut album, Rose in the Dark, was featured in Rated R&B’s Best R&B Albums of 2020. “At a time of disarray and confusion, Rose in the Dark brings peace and clarity,” wrote Rated R&B’s Keithan Samuels.
