The midtempo banger moves from No. 11 to No. 9 this week on the Rhythmic Airplay chart. It’s Ciara’s first top 10 hit on this chart in 16 years and her 10th top 10 overall.

As for Brown, it’s his 52nd top 10 hit on Rhythmic Airplay.

Ciara’s previous top 10 visit was in May 2007 with “Like A Boy,” which peaked at No. 6.

Here’s a breakdown of Ciara’s top 10 hits on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart:

  • “Goodies” featuring Petey Pablo, No. 1 (Sept. 2004)

“How We Roll” is the lead single from Ciara’s EP, CiCi, released Aug. 18, 2023, via Beauty Marks Entertainment. Ciara co-produced the song with Theron Thomas, Deli Banger, Mr. Kamera and Precision Productions.

On Spotify, “How We Roll” has garnered 24.2 million streams. The dance-packed video, filmed while Ciara was pregnant, has amassed over 34 million views on YouTube.

Regarding reuniting with Brown, Ciara told Rated R&B, “It was so much fun working with Breezy because we have been wanting to work together for some time. We are so proud of what we made together and, most importantly, the growth we have had as artists. Even down to sharing laughs over us both having kids now, which was even funnier because I was pregnant on the video set. It’s been so sweet to see all the love the fans have been showing the song and video.”

On Nov. 3, 2023, Ciara released her “How We Roll (Remix),” which included a guest verse from rap superstar Lil Wayne.

“I recently said in an interview that it was my dream to work with Lil Wayne and in a few short months we made it happen! This is the reason I believe in manifestation…the GOAT being on ‘How We Roll’ is definitely a career highlight,” Ciara shared in a statement.

Circling back to CiCi, the seven-song offering includes additional features from Lil Baby (“Forever”) and Big Freedia (“Winning”).

“I wanted to curate and set the tone of my next music chapter with this EP. This project is the start of really exciting things to come, but most importantly, I want my fans to know that the Ci Ci they have always loved is in her R&B bag,” Ciara exclusively told Rated R&B.

In other news, Ciara appeared in the season 10 premiere of PBS’ Finding Your Roots, where she discovered she was related to former baseball player Derek Jeter.

Ciara wrote in an Instagram caption: “The moment I learned @DerekJeter was my cousin! Crazy! Thank you @drhenrylouisgates for such an incredible experience! This was a dream come true to learn about my family genealogy!”
