Chris Brown 11:11 Deluxe album

RCA Records

Chris Brown is back with his 11:11 (Deluxe) album five months after releasing the standard version.

The expanded set includes 13 new tracks, totaling the project to 35 tracks. The new batch of songs includes features from past collaborators Mario, Bryson Tiller, Davido, Joyner Lucas, Lil Wayne, and Tee Grizzley.

Opening with “Bruce Lee,” produced by YX, Brown remains hopeful that a sinking relationship will stay afloat. “If we make it out the storm / We’re stronger / So we need to move like water,” Brown croons.

The Mario-assisted “Won’t Keep You Waiting” drips with the sweetness of honey. The smooth jam hears the two crooning in the chorus: “It feels like eternity (It feels like) / What we did was so heavy / Come and get it, you wanted all of me / No, I won’t keep you waiting (No) / I won’t keep you waiting, yeah (Mario).”

Other highlights on the deluxe include “Freak” featuring Joyner Lucas, Lil Wayne, and Tee Grizzley. Brown joins the three rappers on the club banger, which samples Nelly’s 2003 hit “Air Force Ones,” to deliver fiery bars over bass-rattling production.

“Sippin’ that 1942 ’cause I don’t do no Cuervo / Freak b***h, she like Casamigos, not the Migos,” raps Brown.

Brown first teased the deluxe album in February. He told fans via Instagram Stories: “Deluxe 11:11 album will have 11 new songs! Shooting for 4/11 drop (Not 100 percent on the date).” Not only did Brown deliver on his release date but he also added two extra songs.

The standard version of 11:11 was released Nov. 10, 2023. The 22-track set included the scorching lead single “Summer Too Hot,” nominated for Best R&B Performance at the 2024 Grammy Awards. The high-octane track also peaked at No. 1 at rhythmic radio.

11:11 also included the NAACP Image Award-winning single “Sensational” featuring Davido and Lojay. The Afrobeats-tinged hit reached No. 1 at urban radio and rhythmic radio, plus it topped Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.

The album included additional appearances from Byron Messia, Fridayy, Future, and Maeta.

11:11 is the follow-up to Brown’s 10th album, Breezy, released on June 22, 2022. The Grammy-nominated album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart and No. 9 on the Billboard 200.

Breezy debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. A week after its release, Brown released Breezy (Deluxe), which contained nine bonus tracks.

Later that November, Brown reissued the album as Breezy – It’s Giving Christmas with two holiday tracks, one of which is named after the title.

On June 5, Brown will kick off The 11:11 Tour in Detroit, Michigan. Muni Long and Ayra Starr will join Brown on select dates, while Maeta will be present at all stops.

The tour will visit Chicago, Brooklyn, Montreal, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Oakland, and more before concluding Aug. 7 in Los Angeles at Crypto.com Arena.
