Vedo is back again. The R&B singer and songwriter has independently released his eighth album, Next Chapter, via New Wav Music Group/EMPIRE.
The 14-track set includes the singles “No Worries” featuring Rotimi, “Pull Over,” “Spinn On You,” and “Your Love Is All I Need.”
“This song is about reassurance, letting you know that I don’t need the facades,” Vedo previously noted about “Your Love Is All I Need. “You don’t have to be anything you’re not. I love you for you. I fell in love with the imperfect you, not the perfect you. As long as I have your love. That’s all I need.”
Regarding Next Chapter, Vedo explains, “My eighth studio album for me symbolizes victory, prosperity, and overcoming obstacles in my life and in my career.”
He continues, “I had to work really hard to get to where I am today, and this project is a poetic reminder that music isn’t work; it’s fun. I’m proud of this project and can’t wait for my fans to experience it.”
Next Chapter arrives seven months after Vedo’s seventh album, 7. “This album creates different moods when it comes to every song that you listen to,” Vedo told Rated R&B of 7.
“It’s pure R&B. You can’t listen to this album and not feel love and a sense of fullness. It’s some records on there that I don’t think I’ve done on any project.”
7 was Vedo’s second album of 2023, following Mood Swings, released in January. “I was very moody around that time. I don’t know why (laughs). I’m not afraid to say that we all have ups and downs,” Vedo shared with Rated R&B in an interview.
