Rapper Megan Thee Stallion has enlisted Victoria Monét for her new song “Spin.”
On the xSDTRK and Akeel Henry-produced track, Megan addresses naysayers who question her body transformation (“Work so hard, wanna know if it’s work done”) and brushes off no-good men (“In my DM, he was talkin’ to himself”).
Monét comes in for the hook, singing: “Is it real or fake? / So? Bet you still gon’ hit it, though / All this fat ass booty, need somewhere to sit it, though / I always been fine, yeah, this face is my original / I’m gon’ blow your mind / When you watch me spin around this pole.”
“Spin” is lifted from Megan Thee Stallion’s new album, Megan, out now via Hot Girl Productions. The album includes her No. 1 hit “Hiss,” plus features from UGK, GloRilla, Big K.R.I.T. and more.
Megan Thee Stallion’s previous album, Traumazine (2022), included features from R&B stars Lucky Daye (“Star“) and Jhené Aiko (“Consistency“).
Megan Thee Stallion, currently on her Hot Girl Summer Tour, will open the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday, June 28, at 8 p.m. ET.
Victoria Monét ties with SZA as the most-nominated R&B artist this year, with five nods. Megan has three nods, including for BET Her (“Hiss”).
