Victoria Monét made her debut on the BET Awards main stage on Sunday night (June 30).
Dressed in an oversized blue varsity jacket and white t-shirt, the Grammy winner opened her set with her breakout single “On My Mama.”
Following a quick outfit change to a white suit and a cameo from Kaytranada, Monét transitioned to her new single, “Alright,” bringing the official music video‘s enthralling choreography to life.
Towards the end of her set, Monét changed to water-friendly attire and danced as waterworks went off on stage.
This wasn’t Monét’s first performance at the BET Awards. At the 2022 ceremony, she performed “Coastin’” at the pre-show.
As noted above, “Alright” is the latest single from Monét’s debut album, Jaguar II, released on Aug. 25, 2023, via RCA Records.
The album was preceded by the singles “Smoke” featuring Lucky Daye, “Party Girls” featuring Buju Banton and “On My Mama.”
Next up, Monét will perform at the 2024 Broccoli City Festival in Washington, D.C., which takes place July 27 and July 28. The lineup also includes PartyNextDoor, Kaytranada, Megan Thee Stallion, Jordan Ward, Teezo Touchdown and more.
In other news, Monét recently joined Megan Thee Stallion on “Spin” from her new album, Megan.
