Jacquees and his girlfriend, Deiondra Sanders, are now engaged.
The R&B singer, born Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax, proposed at their recent baby shower. The couple is expecting a baby boy.
“She said YES!” Jacquees wrote in an Instagram caption for photos of him on bended knee, putting a diamond ring around Sanders’ finger.
In a separate post, Jacquees shared video footage of him asking Sanders to be his wife, followed by another post with his heartfelt speech to her.
He reflected on how they met, how their love evolved over the years, and how she influenced his journey to sobriety.
“A lot of people don’t know that you really saved my life… I was an alcoholic for years… I didn’t realize it… I was fighting it, a hard battle but I always knew I could do it if I wanted to but I needed a little more motivation,” he wrote.
“When you came to ATL Station and got me from the bar from being there for 12 hours and I’m all cut up and hands bleeding, arms skint up and just being an a*****e you jumped out of that car on Peachtree and I told myself I don’t ever wanna see this again. So on March 3, 2024, I quit drinking. I knew you believed in me and nobody else couldn’t fix me I’ve never missed a doctor’s appointment no matter what! And I’ll try my best to remain that way because you having some more babies lol.”
He continued, “You know I think about everything that we’ve been [through] in such a short amount of time, so much and how short life is now. I think, like, man, we really got a chance of a lifetime. I know we can tie the knot and be together forever one day! I always wanted to be the man of a woman’s dreams. The way that you see me, I know I can be. I know I am. Our baby boy is going to be so blessed babe!”

Deiondra also took to social media to share a sweet message to Jacquees.
“We done came a long way in such a short amount of time. #NoOneButGod This speech was everything. Reassurance and showed me you do be paying attention. I am so ecstatic. I was not expecting this at all,” she wrote in an Instagram caption.
“I don’t even gotta say much cause we both know what’s up. I know this took a lot of courage, honesty, letting go of fear, epic nerve and self assurance. I am so proud of you and I will be here every step of the way to help you become the man God intended you to be.”

As noted above, Jacquees and Deiondra Sanders are having a baby boy.
The couple first announced they were expecting their first child in March. In the following month, they shared photos and videos from a sonogram via Instagram.
“God is overly good! Colossal Blessings on the way!! LOOOOOK AT MY BABY!!! 18 weeks and 5 days!!! Lord I thank you!!” Jacquees wrote.
In May, Jacquees shared a recap from their gender reveal party, including a very priceless photo of him smiling from ear to ear after learning that he has a son on the way.

In music news, Jacquees hinted that a new album, Mood 2, is in the works.
In April, he shared an update about his project. “My album budget Got approved today s/o @birdman and Slim !! God thank you, I’m glad you’ve been seeing me trying!!! God is GOOOOOOOD!” Jacquees wrote on Instagram.
Jacquees’ forthcoming album will follow 2022’s Sincerely For You, released via Cash Money Records.

Sincerely For You, executive produced by Future, debuted at No. 20 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart.
“This album, Sincerely For You, is really for just all my fans too,” Jacquees told Zane Lowe of Apple Music.
“Of course, I’m pointing at a couple people, but with this, it is for my fans. It’s for everybody that’s been supporting me along the way. I feel like if you have been here for me and you helped me get to this level of where I am in my career, then thank you.”
