Rising singer RINI has announced his new EP Lucky 7 will release Sept. 6 via Warner Records.
The project will include “Miracle,” “Matter To You,” and the latest offering, “Your Ecstasy.” He produced the latter track with Sad Money and Kaveh.
On the spellbinding track, RINI is high and hooked on a special person’s love, like MDMA.
“Baby, I lay awake, so intoxicated / Baby, I’m ’bout to break, keep anticipating / Baby, I stay up late, take your time, I’ll wait / Till you come around and I drown in your ecstasy,” he sings on the euphonious tune.
Speaking on his new song, RINI exclusively tells Rated R&B, “‘Your Ecstasy’ explores the theme of becoming someone’s addiction, equating the euphoria induced by their presence to that of a powerful drug.”
He continues, “Sonically, I wanted to take it into this psychedelic world that evokes feelings of both excitement and danger.”
RINI made his musical return in May with “Miracle,” produced by Malay.
“‘Miracle’ is one of those songs that makes you feel happy and sad at the same time. With production that makes you wanna dance paired with melodies and lyrics that hit you in the feels, tears are definitely coming down the dance floor,” RINI explained. “It’s a song about letting go of someone for the better; sometimes it’s just the only option left, or you can wait for a miracle.”
The Australian singer followed up in late July with “Matter To You,” which he produced.
Regarding the track, he shared, “We often get caught up in the many demands of today’s world, losing sight of the small joys that truly bring us happiness. As an artist pursuing a dream that requires so much time and attention, I find this especially true. Striving to balance my passion with the rest of life is a lifelong lesson.”
Lucky 7 will follow RINI’s 2022 EP, Ultraviolet, which included his BEAM-assisted single “Selfish.”
Speaking on Ultraviolet, he explained, “It’s bolder, more upfront and a more dauntless version of RINI that translates into the sound of the EP. I’ve taken a different approach sonically, and I could say that I’m taking a risk with some of the songs simply because it’s different from the usual vibe that you would expect to hear from me, but that’s really the whole point of it. Ultraviolet is the product of this.”
