October London is back with another smooth groove that celebrates love. On his new single, “A Beautiful Woman,” the R&B balladeer honors his spouse, who lights up his world.
“I’ll tell you, dating ain’t the life no more / Not since I met the kindest soul / She brightens all the darkest places / Put smiles on all the frowning faces / She gives me love in time of need / And showers me with positivity.”
October London co-produced “A Beautiful Woman” with his close collaborator Soopafly. The heartwarming song is the follow-up to his single “She Keeps Calling.” Both songs will appear on London’s upcoming sophomore album, October Nights, which will release on Death Row Records/gamma.
Speaking on the latter track, London said, “‘She Keeps Calling’ was co-written by me and my boy Mike Letter. This has to be one of my favorite songs off my upcoming album! I wrote this song for all the times anyone has had a woman hit their line and eventually those calls build up and have you come back for more than you anticipated.”
October Nights will follow London’s debut album, The Rebirth of Marvin, which was among Rated R&B’s Best R&B Albums of 2023 list.
The Rebirth of Marvin included his breakout hit “Back To Your Place,” also produced by Soopafly, which topped Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart for 11 weeks.
His succeeding single, “Mulholland Drive,” featuring Snoop Dogg and LaToiya Williams, spent two weeks atop the Adult R&B Airplay chart.
This summer, London teamed up with jazz musician Boney James on “All I Want Is You.” The lover’s anthem will appear on James’ new album, Slow Burn, out Oct. 18.
Most recently, London joined Tyrese on “Bedroom Bully” from his latest album, Beautiful Pain.
London is currently on the road with Maxwell as a supporting act on The Serenade Tour, which kicked off Sept. 14. Jazmine Sullivan is also on the bill as a special guest. The tour concludes Oct. 27 in Los Angeles.
