Emerging singer-songwriter Raiche has released her new EP, Making Room, via Genre Defying Entertainment/Atlantic Records.
The five-track set includes the previously shared “Burn Your Clothes,” “Hearts at War,” “Making Room” and “Thinking of You.”
On “You Made Me,” the project’s sole new track produced by Herothaproducer and Bos, Raiche is fed up and kicks her no-good lover to the curb.
“I’ve grown numb to the highs and lows / That sh—t make a b—h turn cold / I let you ride on easy / You still ran out of gasoline / You turned me into a goddamn savage / And now I’m acting up,” she sings on the finger-snapping bop.
“The first part of this EP, Making Room, is about discovering myself and my view of love,” Raiche exclusively tells Rated R&B.
She continues, “After a tough breakup, I realized I’d been drawn to toxic relationships because I saw love through a toxic lens. Now, I understand love isn’t about extreme highs and lows—it’s about two people surrendering to each other.”
Making Room follows Raiche’s 2023 debut album, Loveland. The project, which also included “Burn Your Clothes,” featured a guest appearance from Ty Dolla $ign.
