Indie R&B singer JAWAN.mp3 has returned with his sophomore album, Reverie, produced by his longtime collaborator Tonye Ayeba.
The 14-track set continues the story told on his 2021 EP, The Abstract, and includes all of its five tracks. Some of the album’s previously shared tracks include “Assurance” and “Call Me.”
Among the album’s new songs is the standout “Loved That Way.”
On the tenderhearted track, JAWAN.mp3 cherishes his partner whose love has taken him to new heights. “You’re more than just different / You bring new experience to me / Like nothing that existed,” he sings.

Regarding Reverie, JAWAN.mp3 shares, “This is six years in the making and I’m glad I took my time. As urgent as music feels sometimes, I believed it was more important to be proud of the work and sure that it matched what I needed to express.”
He continues, “Like my friend Ankn once said, ‘The industry is no match for the Universe. Resonance is a timeless and underrated emotion.’ I believe that with everything in me.”
As indicated above, Reverie is JAWAN.mp3’s first project since his EP The Abstract (2021). He later followed up with singles “Get Back” in 2022 and “Still (For You)” in 2023.
In 2019, he released his debut album, Broken.
