Grammy-winning vocalist Ledisi has released her new single, “Love You Too.”
She co-wrote the hearty ballad with the song’s producer and her longtime collaborator Rex Rideout.
Over warm instrumentation that feels like a hug, Ledisi embraces the ebb and flow of an enduring love. Whether their days are clouded or gleaming like the sun, they never stop loving.
“Hold on to our love story / Baby, you know that I / That I ride the high storm / When it rains you love me more / You love like an ocean / ‘Cause you always love me / I always love you too,” Ledisi sings.
“Love You Too” is accompanied by an official music video, directed by Ron T. Young, which can be watched below.
“Love You Too” is Ledisi’s first single since releasing her album Good Life in 2024. The album included the No. 1 single “I Need To Know,” which topped Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.
Good Life also included the Kenny Lattimore-assisted duet “Perfect Stranger,” which peaked at No. 13 on the same chart, and “Sell Me No Dreams.”
Good Life was ranked No. 2 on Rated R&B’s 25 Best R&B Albums of 2024 list. “Let’s be honest: Ledisi has never released a subpar album. It won’t start with Good Life, either,” declared Antwane Folk.
Up next, Ledisi is set to perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing” at the Super Bowl LIX pregame show Sunday, Feb. 9, in her hometown, New Orleans.
“Performing at the Super Bowl is one of the most significant moments of my career,” says Ledisi. “I’m honored to bring my voice and my story to such a monumental event, and I hope to inspire unity and pride with this performance.”
