Jagged Edge has released their 11th album, All Original Parts: Volume 1, via HardCase Music.
Across 15 tracks, the group explores the nuts and bolts of love and life through a modern lens. Production-wise, the album is driven heavily by drums. Songs like “Love on Credit” and “Forever Love” incorporate hints of drill that are enough to notice without being overwhelming.
Speaking on their new album, Jagged Edge shares, “All Original Parts: Volume 1 is more than an album — the title of the album plays off of our group history with having all original members and staying together for almost 30 years. We are one of the rare finds in R&B music.”
All Original Parts was preceded by the lead single “Just Might Get It,” released in January.

Regarding the track, member Brian Casey stated, “The beautiful thing about ‘Just Might Get It’ is how a single title can inspire entirely different perspectives. Brandon’s writing captures this perfectly. His take is telling the girl, ‘You keep asking for my time, and I’m giving it to you—now, what are you going to do with it? Be careful what you ask for, you might just get it.'”
He continued, “Meanwhile, my perspective shifts to the aftermath: ‘You’ve said you want this to end, but I don’t, and now I’m telling you—be careful what you wish for, you might actually get it.’ It’s incredible how we’re using the same title but interpreting it in such distinct ways. That’s the magic of working with him—listening to the same thing and finding completely different meanings.”
Today (Feb. 14), Jagged Edge premiered the official music video for “Just Might Get It” directed by Jasen Ward.
All Original Parts follows the group’s 2020 album, A Jagged Love Story. The 31-track set featured the singles “Closest Thing to Perfect,” “Genie” and “Decided.”
This spring, Brandon, Brian, Kyle and Richard will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their second album, J.E. Heartbreak, on an intimate tour.
The 25 Years of J.E. Heartbreak Tour kicks off March 26 in Dallas with stops in St. Louis, Atlanta, Charlotte and more. As of now, the tour will conclude on April 20 in Brooklyn, with more dates set to be announced later.
Released Jan. 18, 2000, J.E. Heartbreak included classics like “Promise,” “Let’s Get Married” and “He Can’t Love You.”
