Leon Thomas was the musical guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday night (Feb. 6).
The Grammy winner, wearing all black attire, performed a funked-out rendition of his rising it “Mutt.” It marked his first televised live performance.
“Huge thank you to @colbertlateshow with @stephenathome for having me! Grateful to share my music on that stage and vibe with y’all. More to come… stay locked in,” Thomas wrote in an Instagram caption.

“Mutt” is the lead single and title track to Thomas’ sophomore album, which was released in September 2024 via Ty Dolla $ign’s EZMNY Records/Motown Records.
The D. Phelps and Freaky Rob-produced hit made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 this week at No. 100, earning Thomas his first entry on the popular singles chart.
Thomas’ performance on The Late Show comes ahead of his two sold-out shows at London’s KOKO on Feb. 21 and Feb. 23.
Later this summer, he will perform at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee.
In music news, Thomas joined podcaster and producer Rory on his new single “Who Are You Anyway?” which dropped today (Feb. 7). It’s Thomas’ second collaboration this year, following his feature on Coco Jones’ “Here We Go (Uh Oh) [Remix].”
