British soul singer Aaron Taylor has released his new single “Nevermind” via Edenic Records.
The acoustic ballad finds the South London native grappling with the disappointment of lost love. As heartaching it is, he finds the strength to try to move on to someone who will appreciate his heart.
“Nevermind / I will find another love that’s mine / This won’t even matter / So it’s fine if you leave me behind,” he croons.
“Nevermind” follows Taylor’s “Across My Mind,” another guitar-laden track, released in March.
“This was the last song to be written for the EP. Its composition came about quickly, and I wanted to write about being OK with a lost relationship in my life,” explains Taylor. “Musically, it ventures into singer-songwriter territories I haven’t yet showcased to my audience but am excited to share as it demonstrates my growth as a songwriter and vocalist.”

Regarding the latter track, Taylor shared, “‘Across My Mind’ is a song about missing a friend and becoming aware of a newfound distance between us. It was written from the perspective of leaving them a message and wishing them well.”
He continued, “It has a special place in my heart as it’s one of the rare occasions where I didn’t use someone else to play the guitar part like I usually do – there was a certain magic in my raw playing that matched the sentiment of the track.”
“Nevermind” and “Across My Mind” will appear on Taylor’s EP, Yours Always, which releases May 23. The forthcoming project will follow his 2023 EP, Have A Nice Day!
The nine-song set included popular tracks such as “Coffee in the Morning,” “Joy Inside” and “Ebbs and Flows.”
Speaking on Have A Nice Day!, Taylor shared, “The EP went through several variations and tracklist selections, and eventually I noticed a theme of what I describe as a ‘day in the life’ of Aaron Taylor. There are songs about morning coffee, about wanting to have a nice day, about just taking it easy.”
In 2020, Taylor released his debut album, ICARUS.
