Tamar Braxton gives her lover a taste of his own medicine on her new single “You On You,” out now via Platform Sounds.
Produced by her longtime collaborator Tricky Stewart, “You On You” finds Braxton matching the energy her faulty lover gives her.
“Can you tell me what you’re seeing / When I show you this mirror / I can’t blame you for leaving / But I can’t be any clearer. I know you’re in your feelings / And I bet it feel familiar / But, you still don’t have a clue,” she sings.
Speaking on “You On You,” Braxton explains, “My new single is about embracing the strength it takes to use your voice in any relationship that isn’t serving your best interest. I am thrilled to have teamed up with my label partner, Platform Sounds, again. I pray I make all my Tamartians proud!”

“You On You” is the first offering from Braxton’s upcoming EP, which releases this summer. It will mark her first project since her 2017 album, Bluebird of Happiness. Since then, the “Love & War” singer has released a handful of singles, including “Crazy Kind of Love,” “Changed,” “You Bring The Love” and “Notice Me.”
In 2024, she joined Eric Benét for a steamy duet, “Something We Can Make Love To,” which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart. Braxton also teamed up with Tyrese on “Neither One of Us” from his album Beautiful Pain.
Braxton is currently on the road with October London on their joint October Nights: Calling All Lovers Tour. The 24-city tour kicked off Thursday (April 17) in Norfolk, Virginia. The two vocalists, who will be joined by special guests Ro James and The Shindellas, will make additional stops in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Nashville and St. Louis. The tour concludes May 31 at Paramount Theater in Oakland.
