R&B singer-songwriter Asiahn has released her third album, FREE, via her independent label Love Train Records.

Across 12 tracks, Asiahn takes listeners on a transformational journey, confronting past wounds and finally allowing herself to heal.

The previously shared “Do Bad” sees Asiahn letting go of a deceptive partner, while “Better” serves as a reminder to give herself more grace. “Girl, you’re never gonna find a little peace of mind / If you can’t treat yourself better / Girl, you’ll never be loved the way you deserve / If you can’t learn to love you better,” she sings to herself in the chorus.

As the album progresses, the light becomes a steady presence. “Witchu” rides on a sultry bassline, with Asiahn’s airy vocals guiding the way as she expresses devotion to a love interest. “No better feeling than the ones witchu / Wanna do it all witchu / Hold hands, spend every night witchu,” she coos.

The penultimate “Breathe” simmers with passion as Asiahn offers her partner some “act right” to get rid of pent-up steam. “I don’t need no breaks / I want you on me / You been acting real strange / I know what you need,” she wails.

The album closes with the six-minute title track, where an unburdened Asiahn sings of the liberation that love can bring: “You make me feel free / I don’t wanna be without you, baby.”

Speaking on FREE, Asiahn shares, “Welcome to my world where R&B meets liberation. Each note and each lyric is a step towards freedom—freedom from the past, freedom from unlearned lessons, and freedom to embrace love without restraint.”

She continues, “This isn’t just an album. It’s an experience. A sonic escape where vocal acrobatics dance over lush melodies, emotions spill into every chord, and the weight of the world disappears—if only for a moment.”

FREE follows Asiahn’s 2021 EP, The Interlude, released via Motown Records. The five-track project included the singles “Gucci Frames” featuring Grandmaster Vic and “Get Away.”

Before that, she released Love Train 2 (2019), the sequel to her 2017 debut album, Love Train.
