Terrace Martin and Kenyon Dixon‘s joint album, Come As You Are, has debuted on multiple Billboard charts.
The progressive soul project starts at No. 7 on the Contemporary Jazz Albums chart, currently led by Sade‘s compilation album, The Best of Sade, in its 48th week at No. 1.
It marks Martin’s ninth top 10 on this chart out of 12 entries. His previous appearance was with his 2023 joint album with Alex Isley, I Left My Heart in Ladera, which peaked at No. 2.

Come As You Are was released June 20 via Sounds of Crenshaw/EMPIRE. “Come As You Are is really about freedom—creative freedom, cultural freedom, and just personal freedom,” explained Dixon. “Me and Terrace both grew up surrounded by both the church and the realness of LA—different experiences, but the same energy.”
Martin added, “Come As You Are is a mixture and a sonic picture of the true roots of Los Angeles Jazz, R&B & Hip-Hop. From the soul of Watts to the heart of the Crenshaw District, I feel we have painted the best piece for its time.”
