Brent Faiyaz is back. The Columbia, Maryland, native has released his double single, “Peter Pan” and “Tony Soprano.”
Named after the boy who wouldn’t grow up, “Peter Pan” shows Faiyaz’s vulnerable side as he yearns to spend time with a love interest but is pulled away by life on the road. This time, he’s bound for a flight to London.
“If I could be there / I would love you inside out,” he sings over a soulful backdrop produced by Nascent.
“Tony Soprano,” titled after the mob boss from HBO’s iconic series The Sopranos, is Faiyaz tapping into his boss energy. He foregoes his serenading vocals for a melodic rap flow.
“I’m really a Don no Datta / But I take care of everybody / Put that on everybody / She say she can’t go without me / I don’t doubt it,” he sings with confidence.

“Peter Pan” and “Tony Soprano” are Faiyaz’s first solo releases in two years.
In a statement to Rolling Stone, Faiyaz explained, “Everything I’m creating right now is about showing [a] range of concepts, principles, emotions, and experiences.” He continued, “Innocence versus Indecency. Vulnerability versus guardedness. These tracks capture the core of that.”
Faiyaz’s new tracks follow his 2023 mixtape, Larger Than Life, released via his label ISO Supremacy, in partnership with UnitedMasters.
The project included popular tracks such as “Best Time,” “Forever Yours,” “Upset,” “Moment of Your Life” featuring Coco Jones and “WY@.” The latter two songs were certified gold by the RIAA for selling over 500,000 equivalent units, respectively.
Since Larger Than Life, Faiyaz has collaborated with 21 Savage (“Should’ve Wore a Bonnet”), Wizkid (“Piece of My Heart“), Loe Shimmy (“For Me – Remix”) and more.
Circling back to “Peter Pan” and “Tony Soprano,” both songs could possibly appear on a future Faiyaz project. On Thursday (July 3), the singer posted an image on Instagram Stories with the word “ICON” and the date “9.19.25” animated below.
While he hasn’t confirmed whether this is an album, one thing is certain: Sept. 19, 2025 — which falls on a Friday — is Brent Faiyaz’s 30th birthday.
